SiteWatch was founded in 2018 in response to two obvious needs in the market for real-time energy monitoring and machine health and reliability monitoring for use by manufacturers and commercial customers — at a reasonable price. Our goal was to provide mid-market manufacturing firms with an alternative to the all-encompassing, complex, expensive, slow-to-install machine-control/SCADA systems.

Our goal was to develop the best information-only system we could — i.e. not a control system — that would provide plant managers and operators with detailed insight into the operations, health, reliability and efficiency of their machines — all visible on one dashboard.

Armed with this granular knowledge, plant managers and operators could make better decisions about how their equipment should be set up and operated for greatest efficiency, while avoiding the risk of (very expensive) downtime.

In the last decade, technology has come a long way, developing small battery-less sensors which are so advanced and affordable that manufacturing is just now catching up to what can be done, easily, quickly and inexpensively.

We designed and built an "open" system that would be capable of importing data from, and exporting data to, other systems such as SCADA systems or Building Management systems. Since Sitewatch has a variety of capabilities not normally found in SCADA systems, we designed it to be used in conjunction with customers' existing data systems, for maximum informational value.

Lastly, to fill the gap we identified in the market — mid-market manufacturing and commercial property firms — we priced our SiteWatch 360 system at about 1/4 the annual cost of one plant operator.

Our team has extensive experience in both demand-side and supply-side energy-management and cost-reduction strategies.
